Under 21A Hurling Champions Presentation 31st May

Presentation night to celebrate the success of our Under 21A Hurling Champions. Come along to support the team on the presentaion of their medals. Festivities start from 9-00pm, finger food provided. It will be a great night to celebrate the team’s great achievement.

Under 16 Ladies Football Div 2 League Winners

 

 

Last Sunday the U16’s Ladies team supported by the U15’s travelled out to Swords to play Fingallians in a decider for the Division 2 League Title. This had the makings of a championship match a must win for Ballinteer to take the top spot. Players, mentors, parents and supporters were looking forward to a competitive game and hopefully a BSJ win.

Unfortunately the BSJ girls were slow of the mark putting us on the back foot with Fingallians scoring a goal and 3 points in the first 10 minutes. At half time we were down by 9 points.

Ballinteer St Johns May Festival 2014

 

The May Bank Holiday Saturday afternoon saw a huge crowd turn out for Ballinteer St Johns annual May Festival. This is an event eagerly awaited by all the kids in the community as it is packed with fun games, entertainment, BBQ and much more for all the family. This year was no exception with the Inflatable Pitch the focal point. The ever popular Tug of War, Puc Fad, Cic Saor and beat the goalie were in huge demand. An added attraction this year was BSJ Fittest Family competition. The younger kids enjoyed a variety of carnival games in the car park along with face painting and music. The BBQ was in full swing all afternoon and was a welcome break from the activities.

Hurling Féile 2014

Well done to all in Ballinteer Saint Johns for successfully hosting the division 1 group stage of the U14 Hurling Féile today. Our A team have qualified for the division 1 semi-final vs. Kilmacud Crokes in Pairc Ui Mhurcu Ballyboden tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. All support welcome.  Our B team also had a good day in Lucan where they were competitive in all their matches.

Best of luck to our two Under 14 Hurling teams who compete in the Féile this Saturday. Our A team are hosting the Division 1 event in Marley Park. The first match starts at 10-30am, all support welcome. Our B team are away in Lucan Sarsfields 12th Lock pitches, matches also starting at 10-30am, please support. Best of luck to all the lads. Dublin Under 14 Camogie

 

Congratulations to Derbhla Nolan, Sarah Meagher, Freya Nathan, Amy Keegan, Saoirse Mai Andrews and Laura Joye on their great win with the Dublin under 14 Camogie team over Wexford. Great to see Ballinteer St Johns represented on the Dublin Camogie team. Well done.
