Senior Hurlers advance to Promotion Playoff

Our Senior hurlers took on Raheny last night in the AHL 2 promotion playoff semi-final on the All Weather Pitch. The winners would meet Naomh Fionbarra in the final this Sunday and Ballinteer got off to the perfect start when 5 minutes Aodhan Clabby buried a rebound, from a Fergal Chambers shot, into the back of the net to give Ballinteer the advantage early on.

Camogie End of Year Social – 23rd November

The Camogie teams in the club are having an end of year social on the 23rd of November in the Clubhouse. All players along with parents, family members and mentors are welcome. Special award ceremony also in conjunction with finger food, music and dancing for all age groups. Evening starts at 7.30pm till late.

A Date with Sam

The Sam Maguire is visiting this Friday 15th November.  Sam will be accompanied by the Delany Cup, the NFL Cup and Nicky Devereux

The schedule is as follows

Morning and Early Afternoon Sam will visit Local Schools, afternoon/evening local Nursing Home and Youth Centre

Available for Club members to visit as follows

ALL Weather Pitch – 6pm to 8pm

  • 6pm-7pm for all Nursery children 
  • 7pm-8pm for all Children from U9-U12

We’ll be doing group photos, with each age group from 6.15 so please be on time, parking will be difficult given the numbers that will congregate. Some parking options are Meadowbrook Church/Leisure Centre, note school will be closed so be mindful of this. If you would like to take your own individual/family photographs bring your camera and we will try to facilitate if time allows.

Clubhouse  

  • Sam from 8pm -10pm in the Club House for U13 upwards
  • 10pm onwards – Music and craic for the Adults

Sam will be in the function room 

There will be nibbles and music over the evening though we will need to get the kids home at a reasonable hour.

Minor footballers in A County Semi-Final

This weekend our Minor footballers make history as the first ever Ballinteer St. Johns team to contest a Minor ‘A’ Championship Semi-Final. The lads take on local rivals Kilmacud Crokes in O’Toole Park on Sunday at 12pm.

 

All support will be very welcome, to witness the lads make history. Best of luck to all the players and management team.
