Keeping it in The Family Club

History was made last Sunday as Ballinteer St Johns Minor Camogie team lined up with the O’Shea sisters, Louise and Grace, their cousin Amber, the Tully sisters, Jane and Laoise, the Mooney sisters Kate and Naoise, and first cousins Eleanor Ahern and Sophie Quinn.  If you ever needed proof that we are a family Club to the core in the parish of Ballinteer this is it.

U13 Camogie Championship Winners

Congratulations to our U13 Camogie team and their mentors, Máire, Emma, John, Paul, Peter and Oisín in winning the Dublin B Championship against Raheny on Sunday. It is turning in to a great year for Camogie in the club with six teams contesting championship semi -finals and three at final stage. This all comes on the back of a great Féile performance winning Dublin and reaching the All Ireland final. Well done from everyone in the club to the U13 Camogie team, their mentors and parents.

Our Senior hurlers finished the group stages of the championship in spectacular fashion on Sunday with a fantastic 3-15 to 0-08 victory over St. Oliver Plunketts in O’Toole Park. Stand-out performances from Glenn Whelan at wing-forward, Ciaran Lane at full-forward and Cormac O’Brien in full-back helped Ballinteer get a big enough victory to put them on top of the group to points difference.
