Adult Football League Kicks off this Sunday




Our four adult football teams are in action this Sunday in their first League games of the year.

The action kicks off in Marley Park on Sunday morning with the Senior footballers taking on Cuala in a repeat of last years opening fixture. It ended all square last year the Ballinteer will be looking to go one better this year and get their season off to the best possible start.

As Ballinteer St Johns 30th Anniversary Year came to a close we felt it was only right to have an end of year event. This took place in the clubhouse on 20th December where over 150 members, mentors and friends turned out to close the year and to celebrate our five All Ireland Winners from the 2012 season.

Minor Footballers off to a flyer




BSJ Minor Footballers got the season off to the best possible start on Sunday morning with a fine win over Scoil Uí Chonaill on the All Weather Pitch. A gentle breeze favoured the home side and the sun began to break through as throw-in signalled the end of a long winter. The muddy nights of pre-season training in the dark of Broadford paid off and the lads revelled on the firm footing of the BCS facility.
