Seniors advance in the Championship

The Senior team advanced to the second round of the Championship on Friday night with a great win over St. Peregrines in Newcastle. In a nail biting encounter the lads showed plenty of courage and belief to to be eventual winners by 2 points 1-12 to 0-13. A goal by Ciarán Judge 10 minutes into the second half put St. Johns back into the lead after Peregrines had taken control early in the second half. Peregrines pulled it back level but didn’t stop Johns slotting two late scores to win the game by 2 points
